Powering a Sustainable Tomorrow

Why Invest in Ocean Sun?

Ocean Sun is a leader in floating solar technology, offering a scalable, high-efficiency energy solution that is shaping the future of sustainable power.

Proprietary and Proven Technology
Our patented PV system offers lower CAPEX, higher efficiency and better seaworthiness than conventional FPV solutions. The technology has been demonstrated through 13 installations in 8 countries including projects with leading energy companies such as Statkraft, Acciona, and Scatec. Years of R&D, basin laboratory tests and modeling according to renowned standards sets us aside as a safe and robust solution in compliance with global safety standards.
Fast-Growing Market
Floating solar is expected to grow at over 40% annually, driven by land scarcity, falling PV costs, and increasing demand for clean energy. Ocean Sun’s solution is particularly well-suited for hydropower reservoirs and coastal applications—segments with high potential and limited competition.
Scalable and Asset-Light Business Model
We operate as a technology licensor, earning a fee per watt installed. This model enables high scalability, low project risk, and strong cash generation. Our systems are deployed by local partners using readily available materials, enabling global expansion at scale, while ensuring lean logistics and cost-effective execution.
Positioned for Future Growth
With a proven track record, growing project pipeline, maturing regulatory frameworks and a new management team with deep experience in solar and offshore industries, Ocean Sun is ready to scale. Our focus on Tier II markets—where our technology has a clear edge—positions us to capture significant market share and realize our vision of becoming the world leading technology provider to floating PV systems.

Highlights

Floating solar – the next wave of clean energy
Solar power is the most important and fastest-growing energy source globally, but its potential is limited by the vast amount of land it occupies —equivalent to more than 14 million football pitches to reach our 2030 climate goals. Worldwide, land is scares and in particular in dense urban regions like Singapore, São Paulo or Manilla. Hence, in most places were power is consumed, land is scarce and solar deployments comes in conflict with agriculture, forestry, or urban development.

Floating solar offers a compelling alternative. Nearly 70% of the world’s population lives within 150 km of a coast, and even more near lakes and reservoirs. These water surfaces represent a vast, underutilised opportunity to deploy clean, independent energy—close to where it’s needed most.
The Potential of hydropower
A particularly high potential lies in hydropower reservoirs and coastal sites—what we call the Tier II segment. Covering just 10% of the world’s hydropower reservoirs with floating solar could meet 80% of global solar needs. These sites already have grid infrastructure and benefit from solar-hydro synergies: reduced evaporation, seasonal balancing, and improved energy security.

For costal applications, the potential is unlimited and represent the only viable solution for renewable energy production in countries like Singapore, Caribbean islands and other island communities.
Technology That Enables the Potential
Most conventional floating solar systems are limited to wave heights below 1 meter—effectively excluding 90% of hydropower reservoirs and nearly all coastal sites. Ocean Sun’s patented solution unlocks this untapped market. Our system is designed to operate in wave conditions up to 5 meters, enabling cost-efficient deployment in more dynamic environments.

Inspired by Norway’s maritime engineering and fish farming heritage, our hydroelastic membrane platform is lightweight, robust, and scalable. It adapts to a wide range of site conditions—from calm inland waters to exposed coastal zones—while using less material and offering higher energy output. The technology is proprietary, verified in multiple basin laboratory tests, and the only FPV solution to receive a Statement of Conformity from DNVGL.
Becoming the Global Market Leader
Ocean Sun has a clear ambition: to capture 25% of the global floating solar market. It’s a bold target—but one grounded in a proven technology, a scalable business model, and a growing global footprint.

Operating as a technology provider, focusing on what we do best: designing and developing floating PV systems. Our partners—developers, IPPs, and EPCs—handle project development, construction, and operations. In return, we earn a transparent license fee per watt installed.

This asset-light model enables rapid global scaling with limited capital intensity and strong cash generation potential. It’s particularly well-suited for large, complex markets like India and China, where local execution is key and the need for reliable, high-performance technology is critical.

With a growing pipeline, installations across eight countries, and partnerships with leading players like Statkraft, Scatec, and Acciona, Ocean Sun is positioned to lead the next wave of clean energy—delivering both environmental and financial value.
