Key Achievements
2016
Ocean Sun is founded in Norway, inspired by the country’s maritime expertise and the potential of floating solar technology.
2017
First prototype successfully launched in Norwegian costal waters. Proven structural integrity and efficiency gains of water cooled panels.
2018
Full scale demonstrator launched in collaboration with Leroy seafood. Proving panel walkability and enabling international expansion.
2019
First international system deployed with SN Aboitiz Power in the Philipines. Establish office in Singapore.
2020
Company acquires NOK 100 million to support further growth and lists on Euronext growth under ticker OSUN.
2021
Deployments expand to Singapore and China, strengthening Ocean Sun’s presence in key global markets.
2022
OSUN launches its flagship 2 MWp system together with Statkraft in Albania.
2023
The La Palma installation marks the end of a 3 year R&D project further driving OSUN’s capabilities for nearshore deployments. Further global advancment in key countries such as India.
